What Amazon is looking for is what’s known as verified reviews. This is when someone decides to buy your product through Amazon and leave you a review because of that. Maybe they fell in love with the item and felt the need to share their review. Amazon regards this highly because it will show other customers that product more frequently than some that have negative reviews.
Now the key to getting more reviews is also in Amazon’s selling platform. They have a specific section under “promotions” where a seller can go in and submit a discount of 90% for one of their skus.
They can then in turn give this sku to reviews groups at 90% off and have 20-100 people buy the item in exchange for an honest review.
The easiest way to get your first 10 reviews is by giving the coupon codes to friends and family. I’ve found this to be extremely helpful as most of them want to support and don’t want the coupon code. They will buy at full price and leave a good review of our product.
Make sure you get as many reviews as possible as this will determine if you sell 10 units a day or 20 units a day. This will also give you more leverage in search term rankings and potentially move you up from page 2 or 3 to page 1.
